Foodborne Chicago
In January, 2014 the Knight Foundation gave our partner Joe Olson a prototype grant to develop communication strategies to engage with targeted communities through Foodborne Chicago. Smart Chicago administers that grant and also took part in the work. Here's more details:

Civic Works, June 2012
Knight Foundation, along with our community foundation sponsor, The Chicago Community Trust, funded the Kick-Starting Civic Innovation grant in June 2012. This grant formed the foundation of our CivicWorks project. These funds supported a total of twelve initiatives. Read more here:
